A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, "You should do it, because you get up first."The husband said, "You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it."
Wife replies, "No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee."Husband replies, "I can't believe that. Show me."
So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says,'HEBREWS….'"
남편과 아내가 누가 매일 모닝커피를 끓어야 하는지를 놓고 논쟁을 벌였다. 아내가 "당신이 해요. 더 일찍 일어나잖아요"라고 하자 남편은 "부엌은 당신 관할이니까 당신이 해야지"라고 주장했다.
아내는 "아니요, 당신이 해야 된다니까요. 성경에도 커피는 남자가 끓여야 한다고 나와 있어요"라고 맞섰다. 남편은 믿을 수 없다며 보여달라고 했다.
그러자 아내는 성경을 가져와 신약을 펴더니 몇몇 페이지의 첫 부분을 보여줬다.
성경에는 이렇게 쓰여 있었다. '히브루스(그가 끓인다ㆍhe brews:히브리인을 뜻하는 hebrews와 동음이의어)
