Two church members were

going door to door, and

knocked on the door of a

woman who was not happy to

see them. She told them that

she did not want to hear their

message and slammed the

door in their faces. To her surprise,

however, the door did

not close and, in fact, bounced

back open. She tried again,

and slammed the door again

with the same result-the door bounced back open. Convinced these

rude young people were sticking their foot in the door, she reared

back to give it a slam that would teach them a lesson, when one of

them said, " Ma' am, before you do that again, you need to move your

cat."

전도사 두 명이 가가호호를 방문하며 선교활동을 하고 있었다. 그러다

그들을 별로 탐탐치않게 여기는 한 여자 집 문을 두드렸다. 그녀는 그들

이하는 말을 듣고 싶지 않다며 면전에서 문을꽝닫아 버렸다. 그러나놀

랍게도 문은 닫히지 않았고 오히려 다시 열렸다.

그녀는 다시 시도했으나

결과는 똑같이 문이 다시 열렸다. 그녀는 이 무례한 청년들이 발을 문틈

에끼운게 틀림없다고 생각하며본때를 보여주기라도 하듯 다시 한번몸

을 확 돌려 문을 꽝 닫으려 했다. 그 때 그 들중 한 명이 말하길, " 아줌마,

그러기 전에 먼저 문틈에 낀 당신 고양이나 치우시죠."
