A surgeon and an architect, both English, were joined by an Irish politician, and all fell to arguing as to whose profession was the oldest.

The surgeon said, “Eve was made from Adam‘s rib, and that surely was a surgical operation.”

“Maybe,” said the architect, “but prior to that, order was created out of chaos, and that was an architectural job.”

“Sure now,” interrupted the politician, “but somebody created the chaos first.”

외과의사가 먼저 말했다. “아담의 갈비뼈를 떼서 이브를 만들었죠. 분명 외과 수술이었어요.”

“글쎄요.” 건축가가 반박했다. “하지만 그 전에 카오스에서 질서가 탄생했죠. 그건 건축과 다름없어요.”

그러자 정치인이 끼어들었다. “누군가는 그 카오스를 만들었죠.”
